Do you think AI is dangerous? | This week in AI | AI x Sustainability: the use cases
Better late than never: my work
Hello friends,
As the work year winds down and the holidays ramp up, I wanted to share some updates, but first, I’d like to say a big “thank you” to everybody who reached out to me while I was not publishing for the past three months.
When complex times occur, we’re always asked how we decide to continue what we do.
It’s good to be back,
🚨❓The big question of the week
Do you think AI is dangerous?
People want machines that foster creativity and imagination.
Decision-making, communication, and change processes are not only made of intelligence and knowledge.
The complexity of AI and machine learning-related research must include human influences, like behavior and emotion.
The assumption that "ultra-intelligent" technology needs to be tested before possessing a literal and figurative "mind of its own" won't be achieved long.
Even if, at some point, we can create digital equivalents simulating fear, pain, desire, curiosity, irritation, sentiment, and ambition, they can't and won't exist artificially.
Human beings are complex, very complex. Let’s not forget this.
👾 So, do you think AI is dangerous? What are you most afraid of?
✅ Yes, absolutely, tell us why
🚫 No, why should it be?
🧐 Other? Please comment
Please share your thoughts for why you voted in the comments so we can get some discussion going with the community.
