A personal perspective is that "we" appear to be stuck thinking that #digital is #binary.
#Bias: no Bias. #Trust: no trust. #Ethics: no ethics. #Identity: no identity. #Provable: not provable.
In reality, technology, like human behaviour, is not a destination, a place to be reached or a goal to be aimed for. We are on a journey and occasionally need a place to call home, a stop, a place where I can put my hat.
#Trust is not a destination. #Ethics are not something you reach. #Identity is not something you own. #Integrity is not an achievement. #Privacy is not a place. #Innovation is not something you can switch on and off. #Data is not oil. #Decisions are not right or wrong.
Prior to #web3, 4 and now 5 being a story that we can distinguish from the noise, I think we are first going to see and need a shift to new #organisations, new #leadership, new #structures, new #governance, new #oversight and new #models based on #sustainability ideals.
Now will the next web evolution enable these, or be a result of these, I am unsure, but I can bet that many will find signals in the chaos of noise and complexity ahead of most.
